Weekly Fee (5 days): $325 (full day)
Day Pass Fee (1 day): $75 (one full day)

Kids will be separated into two different groups.
Under 700 USCF (including unrated)

Austin Grandmaster Chess Academy staff will provide light snacks and beverages during scheduled snack times. Students are encouraged to bring their own lunch.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:
A full refund, minus a $50 service fee, will be provided for all cancellation requests received 7 days prior to camp start date. No refunds are provided if the cancellation is not received a week prior to camp start date.

North Austin Summer Chess Camp with Gary Gaiffe

Description: A full day, week-long chess camp open to all scholastic chess players, organized and run by local expert Gary Gaiffe. (This camp replaces the NYOS chess camp scheduled for the same week.)

Campers will be broken into skill level groups.  Different topics will be covered depending on which group the camper is in.  From tactics to positional play, game analysis to variant play, the camp will be both instructional and entertaining.  The final day will include a camp-wide tournament.

Dates and Times:  July 17-21; 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Description: A full-day, week-long chess camp, hosted by the Huntington Learning Center in Round Rock from July 31 – August 4, 2023.  Featuring Candidate Master Craig LaSalle. All scholastic players age 6 to 13 (rated up to USCF 1300) are invited to register!

Students will focus on the chess fundamentals, including opening strategy, endgame strategy, checkmating pattens, and tactics.  Students will experience a balance of chess play and instruction.
