A one day scholastic event in two sections. 5 rounds, Swiss, G/30;d5. This tournament will be held in conjunction with the Luis Salinas Memorial 79th Annual Texas State and Amateur Championships. Required for players with rating 900 or higher in the May 2024 ratings supplement.
Prizes:
Place Prizes: Trophies to the top 12 individuals and top five teams.
Other Prizes: Medals to plus score (three or more points) finishers that did not receive a trophy.
U900
Available to players with ratings under 900 in the May 2024 ratings supplement and to unrated players.

Schedule
Round 1 at 10:30 am; rest ASAP with a small lunch break, usually after round 1.

$39 by 5/19, $49 after. After 5/23 all registration and changes are onsite only.
All refunds must be requested by email and sent to state@texaschess.org. No refunds after 5/20. After 5/23, all registration and changes are onsite only. Changes and withdrawals are subject to a $10 fee.

Byes
Up to one 1/2-point bye is available if requested before the end of round 2 and before receiving a full-point bye.
