Trying to get the kids back into the mindset for school? This is a great way they can have some last summer fun and improving their learning skills at the same time. We hire the best local chess teachers every year for this camp. Kids of all ages come back year after year to this camp.

Last chess camp of the summer! For campers entering grades 2–9:
Come learn about the exciting world of chess with a local expert! This camp, led by Gary Gaiffe, splits campers by experience and skill level and focuses on developing each camper’s skills through learning and playing.
• Beginner/Intermediate: rules of the game, basic chess theory, piece movement, game objectives, tournament rules
• Advanced: chess analysis, decision-making tactics, calculated and intuitive sacrifices, checkmating patterns, tournament strategies
