4 rounds, 30 moves in 90 minutes, SD in 1 hour, 5 sec. delay per move. Two sections: Open (open to all) and U1800 (open to players rated < 1800). EF: $15.00 ACC members, $20.00 all others. USCF membership required. Note: tournament split across Aug. 31 weekend.

Austin Chess Club is hosting an August slow tournament. The details are as follows: 4 rounds, 30 moves in 90 minutes, SD in 1 hour, 5 sec.delay per move. Rounds 1 & 2 will be held August 17th & 23rd. Rounds 3 & 4 will be held September 7th & 14th. Two sections: Open (open to all) and U1800 (open to players rated < 1800). EF: $15.00 ACC members, $20.00 all others. USCF membership required.

Austin Chess Club is a wonderful atmosphere for the mature, experienced chess player. Scholastic players are welcome, but expected to play quiet, serious chess. Each round has a potential to run late and long (upwards of 5 hours pergame). One round is completed each Sunday evening. A strong, competetive field participates in the Standard Swiss tournaments.

Registration happens onsite 6:00pm – 6:25pm on August 17th. No preregistration is necessary. First round begins at 6:30pm.
