Non-rated chess tournament for Primary (pre-K-3rd grade), Elementary (Pre-K-5th grade), Middle (6th-8th grade), and High School (9th-12th grade). Individual trophies and ribbons are awarded in all divisions, along with team trophies

Walk-in registration begins around 8:30 am, entry fee $5.00 per player, five rounds with all G30, no eliminations, all players play all five games. Round 1 begins when all registration is complete, usually between 9:30 am and 10:00 am.

The community center is located near the intersection of Trinity and West Durango, across from Lanier High School. Players have priority on the community center chairs, so it is advisable for parents to bring their own folding chair.
